Camino Gratitude

A shorter 20 kilometers Camino walk to Pamplona today. The walk in beautiful countryside, bright sunshine and cool temperatures was excellent. I’m spotting the Camino scallop shell better now, as they are placed randomly about the trail. Pilgrims talk in the mornings, before the day’s long journey and hot sun slow the pace. A quick hola or Buen Camino and most pilgrims talk for 10-15 minutes without interruption, sharing their life without hesitation. Pilgrims are surprisingly open to conversation, I wonder if there are more extroverts on the Camino?

My favorite moments on the Camino are walking in silence looking at the beauty of the world, we are truly blessed to be alive!
