So far, the greatest benefit of preparing for the Camino de Santiago has been the Agape love given by friends and family. So many are giving generously and sharing love, entirely unselfish. Shawn Achor wrote “our willingness to be generous is shaping how others give, forgive, and invest in one another. Social connection is the greatest predictor of thriving, emotional well-being and optimism. Our ecosystem will have a profound impact on how charitable and moral we are. The heart of religion is loving others.” During the past 9 months of Camino practice, friends and family have shared their love for my benefit alone, and I am more blessed, grateful and optimistic! I excitedly wait at Logan airport for my flight to Madrid and Pamplona, some photos –
